Direct roving consists of continuous parallel glass fibre strands collected into a single bundle without twisting. It is specifically engineered for high-speed continuous processes such as pultrusion, filament winding, and SMC sheet production.
Direct roving is drawn directly from the bushing and wound onto a package without twisting, preserving fibre integrity for maximum tensile strength. The absence of twist allows strands to spread evenly when pulled through resin baths and dies.
The sizing chemistry on our direct roving is formulated for compatibility with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy systems, ensuring rapid wet-out and good adhesion in the cured composite. We offer packages in a range of linear densities from 600 tex to 4800 tex to suit different process speeds and product wall thicknesses.
Bobbins are wound to a consistent cylindrical shape for smooth unwinding at high speeds, reducing tension variation and fibre breakage during processing.
Linear density consistency is critical for process stability. Our direct roving is produced within tight tex tolerances and wound to a geometry that feeds smoothly from creel to process without bird-nesting or tension spikes.
Each shipment is accompanied by a certificate of conformity covering tex, LOI, moisture content, and certification status.
All fiberglass direct roving supplied by NaikGroup9 carries ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH, and TÜV certification. Certificates of conformity are available on request and accompany all commercial shipments.
